Modern Arms Focused on its Community, Hosts NRA Day
January 7, 2020
This past December, Modern Arms of Columbia, Missouri focused on its community by partnering with the NRA to host an NRA Day. The event, hosted by NRA staff and grassroots volunteers, presented an expansive overview of the NRA-ILA’s grassroots programs in the Columbia area and provided attendees with information on how to become more engaged in Missouri politics. Veteran grassroots activists, including the NRA-ILA Grassroots Field Coordinator, were in attendance to communicate their participation experiences, along with encourage patrons of the store to get involved. Attendees and volunteers came to learn, witness, share, and grow in appreciation of the shooting sports.
An NRA-ILA table was set up with tons of information regarding Second Amendment rights and opportunities to get involved with to help preserve these rights. Multiple NRA-ILA pamphlets, flyers, and gear were available for attendees to take home so that they could help further promote education and awareness of shooting sports with fellow Missourians. The combination of NRA-ILA grassroots, enthusiastic attendees, and Modern Arms resulted in a superb event!
